The 11 Best Eiffel Tower Photo Spots

I have been blessed to visit Paris five times and the beauty of the Eiffel Tower has never faded. There’s a reason it gets 7 million visitors a year. The best part is you can see the Eiffel Tower from so many neighborhoods in Paris. If you’re looking for the best Eiffel Tower photo spots to get pictures to last a lifetime I’ve got you covered. Here are some of my favorite Eiffel Tower photo spots.

Eiffel Tower Photo Spots We Took Pictures At

Place du Trocadero

Probably one of the most popular Eiffel Tower photo spots in the Trocadero. While there are quite a few different angles and places at the Trocadero to get photos with the Eiffel Tower due to its popularity, if you want photos with no one else in them you need to arrive early. The below images were taken in high season in June and therefore we arrived at 5:30am. Even still there were plenty of other photographers shooting families, couples, friends and solo travelers alike. By the time we left at 6:30am it was getting quite crowded.

Avenue de New York

The wall on the sidewalk along Avenue de New York has a great viewpoint of the Eiffel Tower. Since the Seine River is behind it you can get pictures here anytime of day without anyone behind you. The spot of Avenue de New York is right before you get to Pont d’Lena, here are the specific coordinates.

Rue de L’Universite

Tucked in a residential neighborhood is the Eiffel Tower photo spot at Rue de L’Universite. The road is now blocked off to cars so unlike if you visited a few years ago when you’d have to arrive here super early for photos with no cars in the background you don’t have to get here as early to avoid cars and people. These photos were taken in June around 8am.

Pont Alexander III

Pont means bridge and there are lots of bridges in Paris as the Seine River is 483 miles long and runs through Paris. Additionally, Pont Alexander III is a gorgeous bridge and a perfect Eiffel photo tower spot.

Pont d’Lena

Another great bridge to get Eiffel Tower photos is Pont d’Lena. It’s the bridge directly in front of the Eiffel Tower and the one you most often see people, like me too, standing in the middle of the street to capture images. This bridge has a traffic light so wait until the light is red to go into the street and capture photos, you’ll need to be quick but the images are stunning.

Eiffel Tower Carousel

Whether you are traveling with kids or not, taking a photo with the Eiffel Tower from the carousel is magical. You can buy a ticket for one ride for 3 Euros or 4 rides for 10 Euros and credit cards are accepted.

Seine River

The Seine River runs right in front of the Eiffel Tower so it’s the perfect photo spot. We actually had a breakfast picnic here too. You can go to the grocery store and bring everything yourself or there are also plenty of Paris picnic companies that will set everything up for you.

Hotel La Comtesse Room 206

If you really want to see the Eiffel Tower throughout your trip to Paris, booking a hotel room with Eiffel Tower views is the way to go! There are so many hotels to choose from but we stayed at Hotel La Comtesse. Room 206 at this hotel has a straight on view of the Eiffel Tower from the room. We enjoyed breakfast and tea here daily and also got some great photos.

Eiffel Tower Photo Spots We Didn’t Make it To But Are Amazing

Pont De Bir Hakeim

Another bridge in Paris perfect for pictures with the Eiffel Tower is Pon De Bir Hakeim however at this bridge the best photos are taken underneath it instead of on it. The pillars are great to play with for your photos as well.

Avenue de Camoens

Similar to Avenue de L’Universite is the Eiffel Tower photo spot at Avenue de Camoens. This spot is at the end of the street which is elevated and in front of a staircase.

Champs De Mars

Probably one of the most iconic places to take photos of the Eiffel Tower is Champs De Mars. It’s the large grassy area right in front of the Eiffel Tower. It’s also the perfect place for a picnic. The area was going through construction in preparation for the 2024 Olympics on my most recent visit so we were unable to get photos here.

There are so many Eiffel Tower photo spots but these are some of my favorites. Don’t forget to go up the Eiffel Tower as well. Check out my other Paris posts, day trip to Paris, 48 hours in Paris and things to do in Paris with kids. Share this article if you found it helpful!
